The WCS committee is committed to helping our district’s clubs establish International club-to-club relationships and humanitarian projects. The district committee is here to help the clubs. Our Committee Purpose has been defined.
We have surveyed the district for interest in WCS and existing projects. We have a definition of World Community Service projects and examples of WCS projects in the district.
We have studied successful projects and developed a model to aid in project selection. WCS Training is available for clubs or international committees.
We have developed the District Globe Club Award to recognize excellence in International Service. The WCS committee is helping clubs achieve this recognition.
This year the WCS and WMHH Committees are working together because we have common members, common goals and are better able to cover the district.
Our WCS Goals for this year include having at least 33 Globe Clubs (half of the District), 5 new WCS projects and developing a plan to sustain our existing overseas relationships beyond the current projects.
