There are many clubs in District 6780 that are actively involved in international service. In order to both recognize and promote international service, the District World Community Service Committee announces the Globe Club Award program.

To achieve Globe Club status in any year, a club must do three things:

  • Participate in a World Community Service or other international project. A WCS project is direct club to club assistance between a district club and an international club. Other international service activities might include a Rotary Foundation Humanitarian grant, participating in one of the Nigeria water or literacy projects or supporting Safe Blood Africa.

  • Participate in an International Service Activity (host the incoming Group Study Exchange (GSE) team, host or sponsor a Youth Exchange student, nominate an Ambassadorial Scholar or GSE team member, provide GSE team leader)

  • Have a club program dedicated to international understanding

A Globe Club will receive a patch for the club banner and a recognition certificate. To receive your Globe Club recognition please fill out the form and submit to WCS Committee Chair Jim Roxlo, jim@roxlo.com, Phone: 423-875- 7031. For recognition at the District Conference, please have your submission in by March 31.
