Areas of Service and Special Emphasis Programs

Our motto,”Service Above Self”

Rotary clubs make a difference locally and internationally through service. By taking time to learn about local and international issues, your club will discover new opportunities for effective service projects. Each Rotarian needs to find his/her niche for service. Do not be a Rotarian in Name Only (RINO).

For years, Rotary’s commitment to Service Above Self has been channeled through the Four Avenues of Service, which form the foundation of club activity. Combine that with special programs and projects, you create what makes Rotary so special. From time to time, the RI Board of Directors, Rotary Foundation Trustees, and the D6780 Leadership team will select certain areas of emphasis to focus on for the future. To get started on a project, think broadly about how your club and its members could contribute within each avenue. To get started on a Rotary program, use the resources of RI and your District committees.
