CHRISTMAS AT CHAMBLISS SHELTER

ChamblissShelterHamilton Place Makes Hit!

The Children's Home/Chambliss Shelter in Chattanooga has been serving children in that community since 1872. The Chambliss Shelter is a residential program for children between 6 and 18, who have been removed from their homes for various reasons.

For a number of years, the members of the Hamilton Place club have provided a Christmas Party with gifts for the youth in residence. Charlotte and I were privileged to join in the party last week. We are pictured with members of the Silverdale Youthact and Interact clubs, who came to the party on a trolley and brought the gifts provided by club members. The 22 residents in the program this year are all teens and were thrilled to receive gifts they had requested.

My appreciation goes to all our clubs that reach out to those in our midst whose lives we can bless with our abundant resources. Particularly during this season.
