Complete the plan so 'We Can Make Dreams Real'

• From April to May, each president-elect and incoming club leadership team attends the district assembly . Participants are encouraged to read the appropriate manual before training so they arrive at the seminar prepared to discuss their duties and goals for the coming year. • Incoming club leadership teams should further develop their annual goals using the Planning Guide for Effective Rotary Clubs . Before the District Assembly meeting, club secretaries and committee chairs should review discussion questions for the district assembly so they can think about their responses and be ready to participate. Make DGE Carol happy!
  
  
• PDG Harry Fields is given the RI Internatioal Service Above Self Award by RI President at our District Conference, Great news and well deserved!
  
  
• Rotary has launched a new "mini" Web site to give the general public an opportunity to help end polio by contributing to Rotary's US$100 Million Challenge from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. View the three-page site at www.rotary.org/endpolio. The new site will be marketed throughout North America starting this month. All funds raised will go directly to The Rotary Foundation in support of polio eradication, helping Rotary fulfill its pledge to match the $100 million challenge grant received from the Gates Foundation in November 2007. Lets fulfill this pledge soon!
  
  
• RI Stories in Weekly Update provides free content for your Club newsletter and for club announcements. When you get the newsletter Weekly Update e-mailed to you, you will receive from four to five RI news stories every week. You can use these articles in any of your Rotary or Rotary-related publications, including your Web site and newsletter. Go to RI web site to "Weekly Update" for automatic distribution.
