Welcome

Welcome to our new 2007-08 Interact year! We hope that all of you are off to a great start with your school year and your Interact Clubs!! We’re certain that you are all very busy with your plans for many INTERACT SHARES activities for the coming year, especially as they relate to our service projects of Hurricane Relief and the Dolly Parton Imagination Library that we are continuing from last year. Also, we are very excited about a new International Project of helping an elementary school in Egypt that has a great need. Additional information about all these projects is available on our Interact website (see panel on the left) so please visit the site for further details!

Most of you are very familiar with the Interact activities at the District level, but we wanted to share the following information regarding important dates and events for the year. Also, as you have done in the past, please check the website for further details regarding each event. All registration forms, directions to events, and additional information will be posted to the website throughout the year, so please continue to check the site frequently.

• Trail Stomp – October 13, 2007 (New: Additional locations for your convenience!)
  
• Interact Appreciation Dinners/Club Cluster Planning Meetings – October 2007 (New: For improved planning and communication – see website for Club Cluster information and meeting details!)
  
• Hurricane Relief Support Weekend - November 16-19, 2007
  
• Due Date for District Dues – December 1, 2007
  
• District Conference – March 7-9, 2008
  
• Interact Leadership Training Seminar (ILTS) – April 26, 2008
  

We are very interested in your input and suggestions regarding all of our activities, so we will be asking for feedback frequently. As planning for the spring conference begins soon, additional information will be available on the website to request your input in the conference planning. You will also receive frequent communication through our continued Club Cluster approach this year, with District Officers communicating with the clubs in their clusters routinely.
